Sandeep Mittal, Managing Director
An engineer (Pune University) and MBA (IIM-Calcutta), Sandeep founded his first startup (an IT consulting firm) whilst still in college, started and edited an underground online magazine for Rock Music in India, and worked in Direct Marketing and CRM (at DIREM and Direxions) for a decade prior to creating Cartesian as it is today. He has worked on the marketing challenges of top domestic and global brands across Retail, Ecommerce, Financial Services, Telecom, and evangelises data driven marketing by speaking and writing on the subject regularly.
Sandeep still stays connected with music; writing and recording songs in a little home studio, and playing with a band on weekends.
Shikha Lath, Director Marketing
Shikha joined Cartesian in 2013 after over 13 years of marketing, CRM, loyalty and direct marketing experience across organizations like P&G, JWT and Direxions. She has been the driving force behind some of the best CRM work in the Indian market and specialises in bringing information and insights to life through communication and campaigns. She has worked with some of the best brands in the country in helping them build their CRM and Loyalty Strategy.
At Cartesian, her mandate is three fold, to make us known globally through high impact marketing initiatives, to introduce new clients across geographies to the power of analytics and data-driven thinking, and to ensure that we hire high calibre analytics professionals to service our clients. She did her Masters from Bangalore University and followed it up with a Business Course at University of Houston.
Narasimha Murthy Pappu, Vice President - Delivery
Narasimha has over 20 years of professional experience in Business Analytics, IT Services, Enterprise Software Development and research in Information and Decision Technolgies. He is a recognized leader who delivers excellence through innovation. His professional career is marked by leadership roles at Cisco, Genpact Analytics Center of Excellence and GE Research. He has expertise in developing data driven business intelligence and decision support solutions, and enterprise IT solutions. His experience includes global enterprise software solution delivery, selling business analytics solutions, and leading software technology labs.
He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.
As the VP – Delivery, Narasimha is responsible for building and leading a world class delivery team at Cartesian.
Jim Griffin, Director- Business Development, North America
Jim is Cartesian’s representative in the North American market. Based out of San Francisco, Jim has over 20 years of Sales, Analytics, CRM, and Loyalty experience in multiple markets – USA, Latin America and Asia. Jim is also the founding director of Lassu, Inc., an early stage tech start-up building fraud detection solutions for Loyalty programs. Jim has worked with dozens of clients across multiple verticals, including healthcare, travel, retail, telecommunications, banking and business-to-business on their CRM and Loyalty strategy and is a partner member of Customer Strategy Network, a global organization that has launched or upgraded more than 100 loyalty programs around the world.
Jim holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota, where he was formally recognized as the top-ranked graduate in the program. He is Six Sigma Black Belt trained, has done post-graduate work in Statistics, and is a faculty member with the International Institute of Digital Marketing (IIDM).
Ramasubramanian Sundararajan, Head-AI
Ramasubramanian (Ramsu) Sundararajan heads the AI function at Cartesian Consulting. He started his journey as a researcher at the Indian Institute of Management in Kolkata. Prior to this, he earned his undergraduate degree from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani.
Since 2003, he has worked at GE’s Global Research division as well as at Sabre Airline Solutions’ Operations Research group, where he built statistical and machine learning models to find patterns in a variety of data sources in different domains. In his current role at Cartesian, he hopes to extend his hunt for interesting and actionable patterns to newer domains.
Through it all, Ramsu has maintained a focus on both business value and innovation.
Deepa Ghosh, Vice President - Business Development, APAC
Deepa is backed by 16 years of Marketing and Communication experience across organizations like Oxfam India, Direxions, Vodafone, JWT and Lowe. She has played a key role in setting up the CRM and loyalty marketing practice for both established and start-up brands across sectors – telecom, e-retail, insurance, hospitality, consumer electronics, NGOs. Deepa is a people’s person and enjoys a winning reputation with internal and external customers.
At Cartesian, she is mandated with introducing new clients across geographies to the power of analytics and data-driven thinking.
Moumita Sarker, Vice President - Client Delivery
A Masters in Quantitative Economics from ISI Kolkata, Moumita came to Cartesian with core financial services analytics experience in HDFC Bank and JP Morgan Chase. At Cartesian, she looks after all of Mumbai, handling teams who service clients across retail, financial services, ecommerce, QSR and others.
Her core areas of expertise are predictive modeling, customer insights through data, customer segmentation, CRM strategies, promotion strategies, algorithmic strategy building, index-construction and portfolio optimisation, risk marketing integration and marketing portfolio analysis.
Keshav Nagar, Vice President - Client Delivery
A BTech and MBA from SP Jain, Keshav has over a decade of cross functional and cross industry experience spanning across project management, business planning and development, CRM/loyalty analytics and consulting. With past stints in Mu Sigma and Capgemini, he has international exposure to analytics and decision sciences requirements in US, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific.
At Cartesian, Keshav looks after clients in Delhi and Bangalore, and is mandated with setting up a unit to service international clients, out of Bangalore.
Tapan Khopkar, Vice President - Innovation Labs
A PhD in Information from the University of Michigan, Tapan joined Cartesian in 2008 and has been leading analytics based solution provision across some of our most challenging and complex assignments. Tapan has extensive knowledge of statistical modelling, machine learning and AI techniques and has been instrumental in developing Cartesian’s analytical toolkit comprising of analytical frameworks and techniques. In addition to heading the Innovation Labs, Tapan leads our growing practice in Marketing Mix Modelling. He has several publications in international journals and regularly participates in research & industry conferences.
Rabindra Panigrahi – Head of Engineering
An alumnus of IIT Kanpur, Rabindra has 20+ years of experience in Product Architecture, Product Roadmap Development, Product Innovation and Release Planning & Delivery. He has led product engineering teams at large organisations like Oracle and Aris Global as well as at start-ups like Tarang Technology and hCentive. Leading healthcare companies across the world, Astra Zeneca (Germany), Abbott (Germany), Chugai (Japan), Mayo Clinic (USA), MD Anderson (USA), Ministry of Health Australia, are currently using products that were developed under Rabindra’s supervision.
At Cartesian, Rabindra is tasked with leading the product engineering team on two live AI based marketing analytics products as well as working with teams to solutionise Cartesian’s IP across other domains.
Tejas Khatri, Head-Digital Practice
Tejas Khatri heads the Digital Practice at Cartesian Consulting where his mandate is to build & grow the digital business unit. He has 10 yrs of experience in the digital space with a focus on Omnichannel Analytics having worked in consulting and analytics arms of organizations like Adobe Systems Inc., Cognizant Technology Solutions & eClerx Services Ltd.
During his stint with Adobe, he provided consultation to Fortune 100 organizations in the USA on architecting cross-channel analytics databases, multi-channel marketing attribution modelling & optimization of digital customer journeys.
Aside from NA, Tejas has experience with the European market, having led web analytics engagements encompassing analytics implementation/tag management, reporting & analytics, A/B & Multi-variate Testing for clients in UK, Denmark, Italy & The Netherlands.
Tejas holds a Masters degree in Information Management from University of Maryland, USA and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from University of Mumbai, India. He likes to keep himself relevant in the ever-growing digital space by constantly learning and getting certified in market leading digital marketing & analytics platforms.
Saurabh Singhal, Director – Client Delivery
An alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Ahmedabad, Saurabh has extensive experience in Analytics having worked with firms like Inductis, PwC and EY. Saurabh has consulted clients in Financial Services, Telecom, Retail, Media, e-Commerce and Government sectors spread across US, UK, Middle East, Asia Pacific and India. He has also set up the India analytics practice of a consulting major and founded a beverage start-up himself. Saurabh joined Cartesian in 2017 and has been leading the Analytics delivery for Delhi region.
Dhaval Thanki – Director Business Development
Dhaval heads Business Development for Cartesian. He has around 15 years of experience in CRM, Marketing, Technology and Digital, including 10 years as an entrepreneur in the digital and web analytics space.
Dhaval has worked with firms like Wipro Technologies, CNBC and Direxions. He started his career with Wipro Technologies in Software Engineering, he had a stint with CNBC where he worked with the business intelligence and strategy team on on-demand content consumption products. At Direxions, he was looking into business development, loyalty program conceptualisation and strategy development, CRM programs and digital solutions for CRM.
Dhaval was the Founder & CEO of Quantas, which is a decade old digital media solutions company that has worked with some of the best brands in the country including ICICI Securities, Tata Sky, Inmobi, Lawrence & Mayo, Saregama, etc. He also cofounded two technology platforms Gappmob.com & Gappcom.com which offered app development solutions to businesses.
Dhaval is a Google certified digital marketing specialist and academically has a degree in Electronics Engineering (First Class) from RAIT, Mumbai University & an MBA in Marketing (First Class) from K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research, where he was the institute topper.
