March 2014: Cartesian was one of the lead sponsors of the Analytics Interactive conference which was recently held at the Intercontinental Singapore. The conference saw participants from across the South East Asian region like Malaysia, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India and Australia and from diverse sectors like banks, hospitality, airlines, healthcare, Singapore government, telecom, e-commerce and even the National Heritage board! The conference started off with the CMO of Starhub Jeannie Ong saying in her introductory note that “Content is King, Data is Queen”.
There were some animated discussions on the round table among participants on topics like Predictive Analytics, Multi-channel marketing and impact of digital and social media on marketing. In the second half of the conference, our MD Sandeep Mittal spoke on how companies are using Customer and Loyalty data to drive decisions and ROI beyond marketing into areas like Store Performance, Merchandising, Pricing and Assortment. The session was very well received and several questions came up for discussion; some of them being “How does one measure the ROI of a loyalty program”, “What is the most optimum number of marketing communications that can be sent to a customer / month?”
The event was a success and Cartesian is now looking at speaking and participating in more conferences in the region.
